More Republican Hypocrisy: Palin Is Hot

Isn't this promotional button simply precious?  The republicans and their mouth pieces over at FOX news have been quick to announce to the world that Palin is the victim of sexism.  Their new found gender sensitivity is a remarkable change from the way that they treated HRC during her historic run.

So how do these newly liberated feminist men celebrate their ultra conservative colluding woman potential VP? They create a button calling her hot. This button was worn at the RNC where she made her international debut.  With all of the values that they want us to associate with Palin, I find it interesting that they are quick to remind everyone that she is the babe on the ticket.

Sexism is wrong if anyone else is doing it, but when a republican points out Palins sex appeal, it is just another selling feature.  It's like saying, look vagina over here, vagina over here, did you notice that we have a vagina on the ticket.  She's all woman too, so you don't have to consider her record, morals, experience, or principles. The republicans are under the impression that they only need to feign equality not practice it.  So for all of you who are in doubt, Palin is a woman and therefor all that you need to  think about is what a beautiful decoration she will make at all of the state dinners.

H/T Don't ya wish your girlfriend was smart like me, I had been looking for an image of this damn button from the minute I first spotted it.

I have to agree with you, not only for the hypocrisy of the Republican Party, but they have serious character issues.

From John McCain going back on his word not to run a dirty campaign, to the blatant lies told about Obama throughout the campaign and Republican convention, to Palin spouting her stance on family values and abstinence only until marriage while her 17 year old daughter gets knocked up by a self-proclaimed red-neck who doesn't want kids, are all very troubling to me.

Is this the best America has to offer?

This whole thing has me so perturbed I can barely think straight.

I swear it is setting us BACK not forward, I would adore seeing a female prez or VP, just a good one please.

And I am tired of hearing how the 17 yr old high school dropout knocked up one is off limits and it is to be "commended" she is having a baby.

I'm pretty sure they don't commend inner city black teens for it, so why, it's okay for a white GOP kid though?

Have you seen the video with McCains duaghter and her, on McCaains kid [campaign spam masking a a personal] blog?

Why are kids off limits, but the 7yr old is in a vid?

And if she or the GOP dare spout family values, I will hurl.

I am always scared at the thought of the Republicans winning another presidency, and after the past 8 years more than ever. But ever since Palin joined the ticket I am terrified. With McCain's health and age the fact that she could actually become President makes me crazy. I just hope enough of our states, with our ridiculous electoral system, see reason and vote for Obama.

Thanks for the image, we had heard about this totally-not-at-all-sexist pin but hadn't actually seen it.

Watching the Republicans fake outrage over sexism has been truly depressingly hypocritically hilarious. said...

I wonder how Palin is feeling about all of this. Her kids, her hubby... ?
