Time for another round of blogwhoring. I found some really interesting reads this week and hope that you will take the time to check them out. As always take the opportunity to share what you have been reading and writing this week. Please feel free to share a bit about your week as well.
This week was pretty uneventful in our home. We only had one incident of Mayhem bathing in the toilet. The unhusband did commit the ultimate sin and informed me that my corn bread sucks. Apparently it is dry and crumbly. No I didn't mush him, but I thought about it.

The Alice and Rebecca article was intense. I can't say that I always agree with bfp, but she does make me think, and think hard, about things that I may have blissfully ignored otherwise, and that alone is valuable.
Thanks for the linkage, Renee! You have helped that particular post to become my most popular one so far :D
I'll also drop the recent ones here too if you don't mind: My body is NOT a "public health concern", my first FA post; In which I risk sanity, stomach contents and tempt trolls to report from inside enemy lines (I'm honestly not sure I can do it again, mainly because there doesn't seem to be much to work with, its all ostrich syndrome); and finally "Risk" is now for only the manliest cause Hasbro games could care less about money from those of us without a penis and a god complex.
Interesting article by BFP -- very thought provoking. I commented over there on it. Like Dori, I agree in parts and disagree in parts. I do think the attention to intra-family discord with a black family is racially motivated in part. And I do agree with BFP that the tendency to either idolize (AW) or condemn as a bad feminist (RW) is also racially motivated in part, as well as misogynist in part.
I don't think RW's difficulties with her mom can be laid at feminism's door, in the sense that feminism = the principle of equal rights for women. Can it be laid at the door of the Feminist Movement? None of us can know, and while this may be a factor, I don't think it's the only one at play.
Ha that post from Belle is the gift that keeps giving. Great links Renee.
I've been wondering whether I'll be able to get out of Bangkok airport with the occupation and all so I wrote about that. I'm supposed to be flying through in two weeks!
