For Only $29.95 you too can have a fresh young pussy!

I am a 36 year old disabled woman who has been variously labeled "fat", "crazy", and "a hippie weirdo." I now try to embrace labels that others use in an attempt to "shame" me into being someone more "acceptable". I am passionate about issues of race/racism, criminal (in)justice, fat acceptance, and mental health advocacy. I blog at My Name Is JuJuBe and I am on the team at The Intersection of Madness and Reality

Ladies, have you ever looked at yourself and thought, “Wow. what I REALLY need out of life right now is a pinker vagina”? Well, now you can have one for the super low price of only $29.95! Yes, with My New Pink Button you can reclaim the your lost youth with a new, pretty pink pussy!
Yes, this is a real product. It is actually sold through Amazon, and is a dye kit designed to temporarily “restore” your labia to a more pink appearance. From the website:

My New Pink Button (tm) is a temporary dye to restore the youthful pink color back to your labia. There is no other product like it. This patent pending formula was designed by a female certified Paramedical Esthetician after she discovered her own genital color loss. While looking online for a solution she discovered thousands of other women asking the same questions regarding their color loss. After countless searches revealing no solution available and a discussion with her own gynecologist she decided to create her own. Now there is a solution!

Great, now there is another thing I need to worry about as I age! Between wrinkles, grey hair, sagging boobs and now “genital color loss”, we women sure do fall apart as we grow older, don’t we? Men get to become “distinguished” as they age. They “develop character”. We women just droop, sag, wrinkle and become “hags”.
Never mind the fact that our bodies are able to bring forth life. Ignore that what we are intelligent beings capable of achieving anything we want in life. Forget that we can run families, companies, nations. None of that means anything if we do not look like 18 year olds. Preferably with big tits, tight asses and a fresh, pink pussy. Oh, and it better be shaved  or waxed too... you wouldn’t want to actually look like a grown woman, now would you?
The message that women are fed nearly nonstop is that it is better to look like we are frozen in our teen years than to grow and mature into adulthood. It is more important to have a hard body than to have a career, raise a family, or achieve a personal goal.
I remember hearing about studies conducted with young girls. They were asked whether they would rather be an “ugly” genius or an “attractive, yet unintelligent” woman. Overwhelmingly, the girls preferred to be beautiful. There is a premium put on looking good in our society. And looking good means looking young. Which, apparently, requires that you smear some chemicals on your pussy to make it more pink!
Woman are being targeting earlier and earlier too. Women in their 20s are getting Botox injections. Preteen girls are convinced to wax their pubic hair as soon as it sprouts from their bodies. Young women are given boob jobs for their “Sweet 16” parties. The message is clear: being a woman is not enough. You have to be a stick thin woman. You have to be a smooth skinned woman. You have to be a woman without a trace of grey hair. You have to be a woman who looks as young as her own child. You have to have a “youthful” looking vagina.
The ironic thing is, we host beauty pageants where little girls are made to look like they are in their 20s. We watch dance recitals where 8 year olds gyrate like grown women. We encourage preteens to wear makeup, to dress in tube tops and mini skirts, to act and look like they are “grown”. And then, when they ARE grown, we tell women that they need to constantly strive to look younger. It is never enough to just be a woman. It is never enough to just be ourselves, to be satisfied with what we see when we look in the mirror.
Many women argue that making  these changes in their appearance has nothing to do with the influence of the messages society sends them about not being good enough. They claim that they are “doing it for themselves”. Well, I would really like to know how changing the color of your vaginal lips makes you feel better about yourself. This is just another product designed for the enjoyment of men that women subject themselves to. Because apparently, women are just not “good enough” on their own.
