Eliminating them alone does not remove the injustice. The system itself must be dismantled. My pointis that we use borders to create others and thus have a justification for starving people. We cannot stand back and blame the British because we were a colony at that time. Who are we to blame for the inequalities that exist today?&lt;BR/&gt;My view on a Global day is about celebrating our similarities rather than focusing on our differences. Canadians used to be colonials of the British empire and it was under their rule that a lot of these disputes began.  As far as whose land we are really standing on, my question is does land really have an owner other than the creator?&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;You do make some very good points about the losses of aboriginal peoples in theses lands.  However your view on a global day seem very totalitarian and lends credence to the North American Union movement.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;It is possible for all of us to unite as one people but there are far too many political and social barriers that we need to cross before that can happen.
